Happy
New Year..
Sure the oil is running out, and we are on the cusp of a global
meltdown. But on Friday the 6th of February
you can put all these troubles aside, because the Tote
will become the mecca of rock 'n' roll. Big claim, but you
will have to witness the superpower of rock 'n' roll on this
night to believe it.
First cab off the rank we have some newcomers to the Melbourne
rock scene, THE ROCK CITY RIFF RAFF, who
are already starting to make waves with their blues based
rock 'n' roll. Selling out their first two shows, they are
definitely off on the right foot.
Next we have DIRTY YORK, one of Melbourne's
best dirty southern blues bands, they have their debut album
due out in March. In the red corner, wearing the black trunks
with the gold trim, we have MY DYNAMITE.
Their name says it all! These boys have been showing Melbourne
how to put soul back into rock 'n' roll for the last 2 years.
This is MY DYNAMITE'S first Victorian show back after completing
their debut EP.
And last, but by no means least, BUGDUST.
What can be said about this Melbourne rock institution that
hasn't already been said before? Beer is cheap, so put your
party hat on and get to THE TOTE on Friday the 6th of February
for this super stella night of rock 'n' roll.

DR4 BENEFIT SHOW
Bugdust will be joining forces with local rockers From Hell
& The Lightning Strikes to raise money to send Melbourne’s
very own The Devilrock Four overseas in May!!
The riff fuelled night will be held at The Tote in Collingwood
on Friday 9th May.
With a $10 door charge, all proceeds going towards the DR4 lads
and their 10 week adventure touring across numerous cities in
Europe.
Kicking off the night will be The Lightning Strikes,
followed by heavy rockers From Hell. Bugdust
will do their best to shake the foundations with The
Devilrock Four closing the night in style with their
final Melbourne show before they head to the airport bar!!
See you on the night!

2008 – NEW YEAR, NEW LINE UP, NEW SETLIST, NEW SHOW!!!
That’s right, it’s a new year and a fresh start
for Bugdust as we launch into 2008.
Firstly, Alex has departed from the Bugdust family. After years
of thrashing away in Melbourne’s smelliest and sweatiest,
the Bugdust bass monster called it a day to pursue other interests.
Thanks for the great times.
Onward and upward!!
With a new setlist in place, featuring songs old and new, Bugdust
will be hitting the stage at Melbourne’s most elite rock’n’roll
venue when they join forces with fellow riff hounds Cockfight
Shootout at The Ding Dong Lounge on Friday 29th Feb! Also on
the bill are punk rockers Tigernauts ready to kick the night
off with an explosion of sound!
With plans to play everywhere and beyond, to record new music
and keep spreading the madness wherever they go, it should be
another crazy year for Bugdust as they head further down the
long and winding road of Rock’n’Roll!!
Hope to see you at a show holding your fists in the air!!

Cincinatti and Michigan. We finished the tour with two shows

and straight to Don Hills in Manhattan where we rocked loud
& proud. Caught up with our old friend Jimmy Duff and partied
till the sun came up. Next night at the Trash Club in Brooklyn,
for a rocker of a show, complete with encore's, free shots and
finger-tapping glory. We definately gained some Bugdust fans
that night. |

Tour: 8th June - Spent the week travelling
north from El Paso. Played our first show in San Antonio at
the Sanctuary. Then down to Baton Rouge Louisiana to play the
Spanish Moon. Thanks to Andy and Kenneth for the Louisiana style
hospitality. From there we made our way North through Dallas,
Memphis, Nashville, cheap hotels along the way to our next shows
in New York. |

Tour: 1st June - The last couple of
weeks in the studio have flown by full of hard work and partying.
JT celebrated his birthday in El Paso being tortured with tequila
by Al Jorgenson from Ministry. The songs slowly took shape as
we made our way through the checklist for the album. Bike rides
for Tecate (beer), getting fat on the best Mexican food ever,
and scorpions on the couch. Long days beginning at 10am and
finishing at 5am. Eventually the album was completed, thank-you
Sonic Ranch, you guys were awesome. We wish we didn't have to
leave, but the road beckons. |

Tour: 17th May - In Texas, laying
down the tracks for the debut album. We did the 2.5 day drive
through the Mid West down to the Sonic Ranch. For a Recording
Studio...it makes one hell of a holiday resort. In a couple
of weeks, the album will be done and we'll be rocking our way
through the states back up to New York and Chicago. Check the
